Image Journal-Variation

I had a lot of fun with this image journal looking for lots of variety in things around me to photograph. Looking back at my pictures I realized that I really liked finding variety in colors. Although, that thought is interesting, because my favorite picture of all of these pictures is the different sizes of the jars. I love this photo because of where the window was located in my house it reflected off the jars and with my camera settings created an old fashion type look. I love the jars image and feel that it captures the purpose of this image journal well. Another one of my favorite photos is the candy hearts. I love this photo because it is simple, clean, and has order in it. The angle that I came from taking this photo works great with the light from behind giving the hearts each a dramatic shadow. All of these photos I look inside which brought my biggest struggle which was lighting. I learned more about ISO and adjusting the shutter and aperture to help me balance the ISO in order to not put it up too high. Overall, this journal was really fun to create and got me paying more attention to the variation in things I didn’t even realize had it. The last photo is of citrus fruits organized by color. I liked this image from another artist because I am draw to variation photos with lots of bright colors which this has along with changing shapes.
